End of the Year Review

I have felt for a long time that we needed to start a blog. Many of my friends have them, after thourughly enjoying reading and looking at the photos on their Blogs I decided it was high time for the Bird Family. This year has been a roller coaster to say the least. We started out the year still living with Dennis parents who was so great to let us be there. Dennis was working at the Trek Bicycle Store which he thouroughly enjoyed. When we decided we weren't going to go to law school, Dennis quit Trek and got a job at Prosper. We tried to make that work, but it still wasn't bringing in enough for us to get into our own place. As a family we had been praying to get into our own home for abour 2 1/2 years non stop. Dennis and I had personally set a goal that we would be into our own place before the kids started school. At the end of July prospects were dismall for a job and it definitely didn't look like we were going to reach our goal. At church the Elders Quorum President told Dennis about a house that went up for sale a couple houses from him and said we should check it out. We did and to make a long story shorter. We began to consider this option we didn't have a new job nothing financially had changed. We still felt has helpless as ever but this time it was different. We fasted and prayed and decided somehow, someway this was going to work. A week before school started we moved into our house. We struggled the first couple months making our payment for the house, but our faith was strong. At the end of August Dennis got a new job a great Job at Blendtec. Finally our prayers were answered and we love our new house, new job and all the lessons that we have learned through this experience. I am so grateful that we were able to just put our faith and trust in the Lord. Afterall that is the only person we really need to trust.
