Praying for Spring

I must confess I have a lot of catching up to do on this blog. I haven't blogged since I posted the boys birthday. We have been pretty busy since December. Dennis and I took a great trip to Florida and was able to conquer Disneyworld in 2 days, Yes that is all 4 parks and yes we are INSANE!!! We celebrated our 13th anniversary while there and it was great.

As soon as we got back, we celebrated Payton's 8th Birthday. Big number 8 meant a very special day for him on the 28th of February, he was baptized. We had so many family and friends there, he was the only baptism and the chapel was almost full. Thank you to everyone who came and showed your love and support.

I was called as the camp director and have had a ton of meetings all ready. I had no idea what a big job this is. I am so excited to be able to work with the Young Women of our ward.

Dennis came home the other day announcing a new 5th season, SPRINTER. I am pretty sure the whole nation is feeling this. I do have a few flowers in the front yard. I decided that I would change my blog to something very springy, then maybe I can will it here. Until it decides to stay warm, I will be praying for SPRING.

Our Twins are 12 and were Ordained Today.

Wow, 12 years ago I was falling in love the second time in my life, obviously the first was Dennis, but when I held my 2  and 3  pound twins for the first time I fell in love a second and third time.  I knew when I held them the 1st time that Heavenly Father had blessed me with 2 very special little boys.  It is often hard to remember all of those feelings.  When I first held them so little and sweet and so vulnerable to this new life.  I was so overwhelmed and overjoyed at the responsibility that was before me and today was no exception, what a special day.  It was definitely emotional for me.  Brendan and Jordan turned 12 on Tuesday, but they received the Preisthood today.  I think that today I realized how old Dennis and I are.  Our boys have grown up so fast right before our eyes.  Seeing the boys in their suits brought tears to my eyes.  They were so cute and so excited to start this new time in their life.  Their dad and I are so proud of them and love them so much.  I am sure that this is the beginning of many days to come when I reflect on how quickly the years have gone by and in 7 years I will be kissing them good bye for 2 years.  It is all moving by so fast.  I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has entrusted me to be their mother and my only hope is that I can teach them all they need to know as they continue on in the next few years.  I was blessed to be the mother of twins and there truly is two to love.

Trip to Seattle

Dennis and I had a blast in Seattle.  I had no idea Seattle was such a food Melting Pot.  You name the food this city had it.  We loved the fresh seafood.  I had the best clam chowder in my life at a place called Steelhead Diner.  The best homemade cheese down on Pikes Market, and yes, watched them throw fish.  We had wonderful crab so much I was stuffed.  A beautiful Museum, where we walked through a beautiful atrium.  We ended our trip in Chinatown at a Yummy find it was seriously in a hole, by a stinky market, but wow was the food yummy and cheap.  All of the cuisine was cooked in coconut, lots of veggies and the ambience was can I say warm and spectacular, to top it off Dennis and I shared a coconut dessert that was to die for.  Yummy, we need to go again, Soon!!  Thanks Honey, for a great weekend.

Trip to Seattle

Fireside with President and Sister Jensen

I had a great time a few weeks ago when I was invited with some of my fellow NYRM to participate in a fireside held in Ogden.  President and Sister Jensen came and spoke about Missionary work while a few of us sang Joseph Smiths First Prayer, with no practice and a prayer and I am sure some angels we sang pretty well.  The best part of the whole evening was talking to President and Sister Jensen.  It was so nice, we set in a small room to talk and become reacquainted.  It was just wonderful being in the same room with all of them.  I Love my Mission President and Sister Jensen.   They are awesome.
